Preparing for Winter Cacao Ceremony

14th October 2018

The Artworks Elephant, Elephant Road, Elephant & Castle, London, SE17 1AY

1.30 – 6.00pm

As we embrace the encroaching cold and darkness, it is a time of rest after the growth and expansion of summer. This Cacao Ceremony will help us integrate all that has happened over the last few months, and guide us so that the crossover of the seasons happen without stress or anxiety. The change of season always brings the opportunity to start again with renewed energy and fortitude so use this Cacao Ceremony to help prepare you for the coming Winter.

A Cacao Ceremony gives us time for ourselves in a hectic and stressful world. It is the perfect space to switch off the outside chaos and journey into the silence, so that we can become clearer of who we are, where we are going, and the opportunities available to us.

Cacao (raw chocolate) is a powerful plant medicine that has been used ceremonially for thousands of years across Central and South America. The people of ancient Mesoamerica attributed a sacred status to Cacao and would drink ceremonially to commune with their gods.
